The first annual Ahn Taekwondo Dodge Ball Tournament will be held on November 8th, starting at 12:30 pm. Put your team of 7 together (4 players under the age of 12 and 3 players 12 and over) to participate in this fun and exciting event.
The registration deadline is Saturday, November 1st. More information and registration packets are available at the front desk.

Breaking Seminar -- November 1st
We will be hosting a breaking seminar on Saturday, November 1st from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Master Johnson will be lecturing and instructing students on numerous breaking techniques, helping students to prepare for the upcoming promotion exam.
All students interested in participating may pick up a registration packet at the front desk. Pre-registration is not required, but it is highly encouraged.

Spy Night -- October 25th
Bring your friends and join us for a spy themed evening!
Are you ready to join a league of spy kids on an important mission filled with games, snacks, and fun?
Parents, take a night off! For less than the price of a babysitter, your children and their friends can participate in an evening filled with fun and excitement.
Spy Night will be held at the school (11100 Kenwood Road) from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. The cost is $10 for 1 child; $17 for 2 children; $25 for 3 or more.

2008 Summer Black Belt Retreat
Friday, August 1st through Sunday, August 3rd, Ahn Taekwondo Institute will be hosting the 2008 Summer Black Belt Retreat.
The retreat will concentrate on the 62 throws of the United Taekwondo Association. We will be exploring Leg, Hip, Hand, Sacrifice and Joint Locking throws and how these throws can be effectively used in real world situations. In addition, we will explore knives and how to defend against them.

Guest Instructor 6/18/08
On Wednesday, 6/18/08 Ahn Taekwondo Institute will be welcoming guest instructor, Master Pearson. Master Pearson will be teaching the 6:00 pm class. All ages and ranks are welcome.
Team Ahn Car Wash 6/22/08
Do you need your car washed? Team Ahn will be hosting a car wash this weekend at the main school in Blue Ash. Bring your cars on Sunday, June 22nd from 12 noon to 4:00 pm and help Team Ahn raise money to go to the AAU National Championships in Madison, WI.

Ahn Classic Volunteer 2008 Sign Up
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I want to remind you that the Ahn Classic is coming very soon. It is April 26th, that is only 4 weeks away. We are in very urgent need of volunteers for the tournament still. We would like to encourage the students/parents to sign up to help us the day of the tournament. We would appreciate all the help we can get.
You can email us as you get volunteers or you can keep the attached updated and send it to us on April 12th. We will still accept volunteers after April 12th but we would like to start getting a count of the volunteers on that date.

Ahn Black Belt Society
The Ahn Black Belt Society (ABBS) will meet March 12, 2008 at 7:30 PM ath the Blue Ash Ahn Taekwondo School. The meeting will last approximately 1 hour.
If you have not yet joined the ABBS for 2008, or you need to renew please bring your membership application and money to the meeting.
The ABBS is an integral part of Ahn Taekwondo and has been for the past 40+ years. Being a member gives you a voice to help better the Association. Ahn Black Belt Society contributes So do your part, join today and participate.

Chocolate Championships February 23, 2008
Chocolate Championships are coming!
You may have heard of the Chocolate Championships, but you probably don’t know what they are. A number of years ago, the United Taekwondo Association hosted an intra-school event that allowed students for each school in the association to come together in a positive environment to participate in a friendly, educational competition.
This year, we are excited to bring this event back to our association. Our hope is that we create a tradition of a well-run, family-friendly event for the students of the UTA.
We have decided to make one change to the traditional format of this event. Instead of winners receiving the usual medal or trophy, all competitors will be awarded chocolate for their efforts — thus, we are calling the event the Chocolate Championships.
The Chocolate Championships will be held on February 23rd at our school.
We have made the pricing for the event very family-friendly. Registration will be $10 per student for all three events, and each family member following will only be $5. Forms are now available, so please don’t wait until the last minute to register!

Learn about proper nutrition for FREE!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
This is a reminder that Dawn Weatherwax-Fall will be speaking here at the Blue Ash School on Friday January, 25th at 7:30 PM.
She will be speaking to us regarding nutrition for active individuals. This is a seminar that all Taekwondo students should attend, especially those that compete.
The cost of the seminar is free and is open to all students and their families.

After the explanation, the remainder of the seminar will be spent on breaking stations. You will take your boards with you to a breaking station and work your way through the breaking stations you choose.

Movie Night!
